When you remove a follower, that person can still follow you again in the future if you haven’t made your Twitter account private. If you don’t want this person to contact you at all on Twitter, block them instead. Removing a follower will not send a notification to that person, but they may notice that they are no longer following you if they stop seeing your tweets in their timeline.

If you want to remove multiple followers at once, it’ll be easier to do so from your own profile. Click or tap your profile icon at the top, select Profile, and then click the Followers count at the top of the page. This lists everyone who follows you.

If you went to your own profile in the previous step, click or tap the three dots to the right of the person you want to remove.

Blocked users will be unable to contact you in any way on Twitter.

You can also scroll down to one of the person’s posts and unfollow them right from the news feed. Scroll to a tweet from the person you want to block, and then move to the next step.

If you were following this person, you’ll no longer be following them after blocking.
