Get 3rd place or better in the Mushroom and Flower Cups to unlock the Star Cup. Get 3rd place or better in the Shell and Banana Cups to unlock the Leaf Cup. Get 3rd place or better in the Star Cup to unlock the Special Cup. Get 3rd place or better in the Leaf Cup to unlock the Lightning Cup.
Remember, you don’t have to beat any of the times. Just make it to the end so that a time is recorded.
Make sure you select the same License that you completed all of the Time Trials on. Character unlocks only apply to the License that unlocked them.
